Arama is an Aranara and quest-exclusive NPC located in Vanarana, Sumeru. He first appears in The World of Aranara quest where he watches the Traveler approach the Phantasmal Gate in Vanarana and later meets them when they entered "their world" by using the Vintage Lyre. In For All Children Who Long for Life, Arama becomes a seed and grows into a new Ashvattha Tree, allowing the Traveler to obtain the Bija.

I actually suppose Arama is not dead. He's just grown up and bound to the shape of the tree he grown into, deprived of what he can do as an Aranara. Just like how we grow out of our childhood and forget what we used to spend hours on... right?

Fate weaves the web of the lost, yet (her/his) journey is not deterred a sunrise or moonset. Drifting flowers gather in the embrace of Queen Aranyani, about to sing the song of dreams. The seed that was hidden in the shadow bloomed into starlight that even the high-hanging sun had never seen. Thank you, Nara, for letting Arayasa listen to the song of Araji again.
